Born in Dundalk, Ireland, Niall O'Connor was educated at Bangor Grammar School, University of Ulster, The University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) and the The London College of Law. He has worked both as a marketing and management consultant and served time in the television industry, rising to the rank of executive. He was one of the early adaptors of the internet in the UK, signing upto Demon Internet in November 1992. Niall O'Connor has written extensively on the subject of disruptive innovations in the internet sphere, most particulalry focusing on their impact upon the industry structure of the gambling and television industries.
